Time to get salty! “The Salt Fix” by Dr. James DiNicolantonio is a great book! I would suggest reading John Yudkins book “Pure, White, and Deadly” first since he refers to this book a lot (another phenomenal read). Salt is not the enemy! Public enemy #1 is refined sugar aka cane sugar! Your body thrives when you take cane sugar out of your diet!!! You cannot live without salt; even animals need salt. “We are essentially salty people. We cry salt, we sweat salt, and the cells in our bodies are bathed in salty fluids. Without salt we would not be able to live”. Here are my favorite go-to salts, infact I have, and use all 3:
🧂 Pink Himalayan Salt—mined from an ancient dried up ocean in various areas in Pakistan. Contains over 84 minerals and trace minerals.
🧂 Celtic Sea Salt—comes from the ocean and contains 82 trace minerals.
🧂Redmond Real Salt—mined from an old seabed in Redmond, Utah.
Now, these salts do not contain iodine so you need to take a kelp supplement, especially if you need an iodized salt in your diet. Kelp is a natural source of Iodine. You can find kelp in a powder or capsule. I usually add organic kelp powder to my smoothie (it tastes a bit oceanic 🐳).
PLEASE STOP 🛑 eating Mainstream Table Salts right now! They contain harmful ingredients like dextrose (sugar) yellow prussiate/E535 chemical name Sodium Ferrocyanide (CYANIDE!!!), anti-caking agents, free flowing agents, and other emulsifiers which are shown to cause tumors, cancer, and other disease in animals. Go now and read your salt ingredients!

Never judge a book by its cover couldn’t be more true then when I picked up this book by Ajay Goel, PH.D., Curcumin Nature’s Answer To Cancer and Other Chronic Diseases. I thought hey, I’d love to know more about Curcumin, I think I’ll read it. What a shocking surprise! This book is bursting at the binding with valuable, potentially life-saving information. It’s way more than just Curcumin. It’s truth! It’s reality! It’s a wake-up call to those who are asleep when it comes to understanding just how cancer works. I highly recommend this book to those who don’t have cancer, those who have cancer, and those treating patients with cancer. While this isn’t promoting a cure, it is promoting a broader aspect of combating cancer.

Thought I’d share a part of my health journey with you today. I started reading Liver Rescue by Anthony William back in November, and couldn’t put it down! I had been searching endlessly for answers to my debilitating and exhausting brain fog, and finally found them here in this book! I’ve never been more appreciative of my liver, more understanding of how my body works, and more determined to apply the plethora of healing treasures found in this book to my life! I decided after doing two of his liver rescue 3:6:9 cleanses, and finishing this book, to give up all alcohol in all categories (drinks, food, supplements), all vinegars, all caffeine, and pull back on my good fat intake. Since doing so, in just two short months, I can see a huge difference in my skin, hair, nails, and my brain fog is gone! Am I saying you have to go as extreme as me? Absolutely not! Sometimes when I find myself being negative I realize it’s time to get thankful, and being thankful has a lot to do with one’s health. “Man’s Search For Meaning”, by Viktor E. Frankl, will leave you a changed (and truly thankful) person (for the better 🥰). He survived Auschwitz (amongst many other obstacles) and found the meaning of life
by helping others find the meaning of theirs.

Just finished Intermittent Fasting—great book! This is a good basic beginners book for those who are interested in fasting. I was enlightened by the history of fasting, the different types of fasting, and “myths” about fasting—the one I hear all the time is fasting is not suitable for athletes and people wanting to put on muscle (only true if you are less than 4% body fat)! Your body burns fat before muscle! Personally I’ve always done the 16/8 method of fasting (this method you don’t eat anything for 16 hours, only drink water, and then you eat during an 8-hour window (healthy and in moderation). For example, last meal at 7pm, then you eat the following day at 11am. The longest I’ve ever fasted (drinking water only) was 3 days.
Is fasting for everyone? No! Is fasting something you should do? Maybe! Always consult your doctor and do your own research before deciding if it’s something that will help your personal health journey.
And as a kindly reminder I don’t know everything, in fact, I’m constantly learning and improving on my own personal health journey. Along the way I like to share with my friends what works for me and maybe it’s something that will help you as well! I’m a firm believer in the “do you diet”, so do what works for you!

True beauty is a state of your innermost confidence, radiance, and self-worth. As Wolfe says,

I started drinking celery juice when I started to have autoimmune issues. It’s time we really start educating ourselves on the deadly dangers of refined sugars. This is no joke! The more I submerge myself into the brilliant minds of those who have devoted their entire lives on the subject, the more I see how truly evil it is. John Yudkin’s book, Pure,White, AND Deadly is a work of exceptional research, dedication, and passion. Written in the 70’s, he was a true leader to his cause. This man devoted his life, endured harsh criticism and scrutiny, all to inform and educate people of the proven dangers refined sugars cause when consumed. The degree of hatred from those who opposed his research, proof, and opinions, will have you outraged (everyone deserves respect even if you don’t agree with their viewpoints, it’s tactless and degrading criticizing others). Here’s a small quote from the book when he asked a director from a big food company if he knew the degree of harm his “sugar” products were causing, “The range of replies represents the whole range of attitudes I have found among those with whom I have discussed the question of what to do about the high consumption of sugar which now, without doubt, contributes to so much disease and death. At one extreme there was the director who said it was not his job to protect people from themselves; he was not forcing people to eat his products and if they chose to do so at the risk of harming themselves, it was of their own free choice.” Read that again and let it sink in!!! Big food companies make big bank on refined sugar! They don’t care what it does to you! That’s your choice if you want to harm yourself, after all, it’s not their fault! We all have the right to eat what we want, but it’s my prerogative to make sure people know what it is they’re actually eating. Most food is actually “food stuff” that has no business being in our beautiful bodies! Choose real food, take a stand against disease and death rates, you are far more important than any candy bar, fast food meal, or processed food invention! The most amazing thing is—is that you can be healthy by just changing the food you eat! You can transform your life!

This is a great book, full of great information! A simple and fast read (couldn’t put it down) with easy to follow explanations and descriptions. Keeps you motivated that’s for sure! Like any book, you may not agree with everything, but that’s what makes life so exciting! Just apply what you like, leave what you don’t, and respect other's opinions. No one knows it all, but you do know what’s best for you! So, do you! Just because someone says its good for you...look into it! It may not be good for you after all (you could be allergic etc). I’m giving this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️3/4⭐️ because I love my natural sugars (organic maple syrup, raw honey, etc.) and I’m not crazy about man-made processed sweeteners like xylitol and erythritol etc. Also, not a fan of sunflower oil and processed gluten, (a lot of the recipes in the back of this book have these ingredients listed) but you could easily alter them to fit your “you diet”.

Inspiring, Motivating, Encouraging—a must read! The wisdom in this book is both raw and incredible. Reading is inspiring, so read a book that inspires you and leaves you a better, more beautiful person inside and out; because what else is there worth living for if we don’t help and inspire one another?

After reading a survey that stated Americans read, on average, one book a year and CEOs read, on average, one book a week, I decided to up my game—one book a month for the last year has been my average. It’s incredible the difference reading has made in my life! So, for those wanting to read books on Health, I will post my favorites (Dr. Josh Axe’s book, Eat Dirt, is amazing!!!). I have a new found appreciation for my gut and microbiome, and my kids are happy because I’m telling them to go play in the dirt, rather than, don’t get dirty!
